O'Connor 2065 Ultimate Head

Often considered the king of fluid heads, this head in combination with the Ronford Heavy Duty Legs gives you a fantastic camera platform that will take a fully loaded camera with a large zoom. If you’ve got the budget and you’re dealing with heavy lenses and cameras with a lot of additional equipment on them, you need something that will take some serious weight, which this head will. If you’re using long lenses the weight, stability and superb fluid damping of this type of setup gives you a significant advantage as an operator.These lenses maintain the Helios’ beautiful bokeh and flares across all 4 lenses. You can take your creativity a step further… We have interchangeable optics to deliver even bigger flares, as well as oval aperture inserts to give your footage anamorphic bokeh, but with the ease of shooting spherical. Richard Gale Optics has been developing this lens set for years, and the latest housings are excellent. Long, buttery smooth focus throw, true internal focus, 95mm fronts, that work with all standard matte boxes, and PL mounts that will accept any brand of PL to EF or PL to E adaptor.

The 2065 fluid pan and tilt head features OConnor’s stepless counterbalance system as well as ultra-smooth pan and tilt fluid drag designed for cine style shooting. A collapsible counterbalance crank handle and numerical readout make counterbalancing the payload easy. The platform has all the controls on the camera operator’s side of the head (left side) and features a platform scale on both sides and four rosette handle mountings. The platform release lever has a one touch finger actuated safety release catch – while still requiring conscious effort. OConnor’s fluid drag system allows an extremely quick pan movement from one position to another, recovering instantly without any spring back. You can set up easily in low light conditions using the illuminated bubble level.
