Vintage Pentax Primes

I really like these lenses as they have a gentle look to them and lovely colour rendition, very rich. We have built up a great range of these lenses, all built in the late 60s when Pentax cameras were the professional’s choice. They range from 17mm fisheye (although they call this fisheye it covers the whole frame) to 400mm. They’re not the fastest lenses in the world, but with today's cameras that's less and less of a problem.

The design of the focus mechanism is really good and even after 50 years they still focus smoothly without any horizontal image shift. The focus mechanism also has a longer than normal throw which means that they work well with a follow focus, unlike most stills lenses. We normally supply them with EF mounts already fitted and can supply adapters to put them on most cameras. We can also supply them with Sony E mounts and follow focus cogs on request.
