Large pixels deliver high sensitivity and low noise
The new full-frame 12.1-megapixel back-illuminated Exmor RTM CMOS image sensor packs major innovations in light gathering, wiring and output optimisation. Efficient editing through proxy recording
While recording high-bitrate 4K movies, HD proxies (in 8 or 10-bit depth) can be generated in-camera. Editing the smaller proxy files reduces computer load and speeds up workflow prior to final 4K delivery.

Real-time Eye AF uses AI to ensure pinpoint focusing precision for eyes, with performance now improved by 30% on profile or partially-obscured faces. Tenacious eye tracking lets you concentrate on composition even with a shallow focus depth.

Real-time Tracking with intuitive touch operation
Real-time Tracking analyses subject colour, pattern, depth, and face information to track the subject. Touch Tracking intuitively and automatically tracks a subject touched on the LCD screen.

Active Mode for hand-held shooting
The new Active Mode provides increased stabilisation for movie shooting. To preserve image quality, the BIONZ XR processor accurately measures camera shake and compensates optically. This makes stable video possible even when shooting hand-held where space restraints prevent gimbal use, while walking, and at 4K resolution.

Digital audio interface for clear sound recording
A digital audio interface added to the Multi Interface (MI) Shoe allows direct 24-bit input. Available settings are 48kHz/16-bit 2-ch, and by using the optional XLR-K3M adaptor kit, 48kHz/24-bit 2-ch and 48kHz/24-bit 4-ch.

Unique heat dissipation, for dependable recording
A unique Sony Σ (sigma) shaped graphite heatsink is built into the image stabilisation unit. This dissipates heat 5x more effectively
for extended recording time, without interfering with image stabilisation.

Movie-shooting comfort
Responding to feedback from professional users, the MOVIE button has been moved to the top face for improved operability in any shooting position. Mode dial ordering and speed of switching have also been improved.

High ISO sensitivity
With an amazingly wide standard ISO range of 80-102400 (expandable to 40-409600 for stills), the A7S III camera offers incredible creative opportunities. The newly-developed image sensor and image processing algorithms produce even cleaner images and more natural textures than the previous α7S II model, even when shooting in near total darkness.

We are open for business but have altered the way we work to maintain a safe working environment. As a small but resilient company and we are always happy to tailor our services to your specific requirements.

Here is an update about the procedures and facilities we have put in place.

Studios

Studio 2 is now available for full 10-hour day hire only and comes with the the extra room above it as standard to accommodate extra crew numbers. Contact us for more details.

Our studios have fresh air ventilation systems which provide a constant supply of fresh air as opposed to a recirculation system. They are also quiet enough to run whilst recording sound

We have just installed a dual internet system that runs on fast 5G in addition to fibre broadband so that we can offer a very robust internet connection for live video streaming etc.

We can provide a reliable online video stream from the studios so that your client can monitor the shoot remotely

There is remote audio and video monitoring provided from the studio to the client room and both dressing rooms for Studio 1 and to the client room for Studio 2. Studio 1 also have a microphone set up in the green room so that you can communicate remotely via the PA

We have opened a roof garden in addition to the private yard so we can offer clients more outdoor ancillary space

Safe equipment handling

All equipment supplied by SLV is made safe using a combination of quarantining, disinfection, UV-C light and ozone sanitising

Our staff members wear appropriate PPE whilst handling equipment

Workstations are being sanitised before and after use

Our vans are sanitised before and after use

Studio sanitation

Hand santiser is provided on main entry to the premises and around the building

We ask that crew and clients arrive with their own PPE, however we have it available to purchase if required

Everyone, including SLV staff, entering the premises will have their temperature measured and we reserve the right to refuse entry of anyone displaying symptoms of Covid -19

The Studio 1 showers are still available to use however we ask that people bring their own towels

Studio 1 and studio 2 are to use separate toilets and kitchen facilities provided if both are in use on the same day

We are currently limiting the maximum number of people inside each studio space to 10 people for Studio 1 and 3 people for Studio 2. We also have displayed a limit for the number of people in each specific area

We ask that gaffers and sparks wear gloves and masks when appropriate

The premises are being santised at the end of each working day
